Dr. David A. Brenner is a translator of German- and Yiddish-language nonfiction and a professor who lives in Houston, Texas.

He translates primarily works in the humanities and social sciences, especially in the fields of philosophy, history, and literature. In addition, he translates memoirs and testimonies by survivors of the Holocaust.

His own books include Marketing Identities: The Invention of Jewish Ethnicity in Ost und West as well as German-Jewish Popular Culture before the Holocaust.
